Where it is located: Ciampino Airport is located 120 km south-southeast of central Rome, just outside the Greater Ring Road.

International Fiumicino Airport

Fiumicino airport is the largest, busiest and most ‘international’ airport in Rome. Being a very large airport, Fiumicino houses many shops, banks, restaurants, currency exchange offices, numerous bars and restaurants specialising in different kinds of cuisine.

Where it is located: Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci International Airport is 32 km from Rome.

There are different ways of getting from Ciampino Airport to Rome city centre:

The cheapest way to get to Rome city centre is by shuttle bus. Tickets cost up to 6 euro per person (for example, Terravision charges 4€, while Sit Bus Shuttle charges 6€) with trains departing the Arrivals terminal every 15 minutes during day time and 30 minutes in the early morning and late evening. The average time for a ride from Fiumicino airport to Rome is around 50 minutes depending on the number of bus stops and the traffic in the city.

The train is also quite a convenient and quick way of getting to Rome Termini train station.
